Mountain Time IANA Zones — Why America/Denver Is Only a Reference
“Mountain Time” is a regional label, not one universal IANA zone. America/Denver is the best-known representative for seasonal U.S. MT, but software should store the actual location zone whenever possible. America/Phoenix, for example, intentionally behaves differently.
