Nasdaq hours in your local time
Nasdaq publishes U.S. equity trading times in Eastern Time. CalendarHours anchors the schedule to America/New_York so EST/EDT changes are handled automatically, then converts pre-market, regular and post-market times into the time zone you select.
Eastern Time changes between EST and EDT. A DST-aware IANA time zone prevents fixed-offset errors when U.S. and international daylight-saving dates do not line up.

Nasdaq Sessions & Related U.S. Venues
“Nasdaq hours” usually means the Nasdaq Stock Market, but Nasdaq also operates other U.S. equity exchanges with different schedules. Keeping those distinctions visible avoids treating every Nasdaq-branded venue as the same market.
Nasdaq Pre-Market
Current Nasdaq Pre-Market Hours run 4:00–9:30 AM ET on normal business days.
Nasdaq Regular Market
Regular Market Hours run 9:30 AM–4:00 PM ET, with the Opening Cross and Closing Cross defining the primary cash-equity session.
Nasdaq Post-Market
Current Post-Market Hours run 4:00–8:00 PM ET on normal business days.
Nasdaq Global Trading Hours
The approved model adds a 9:00 PM–4:00 AM ET Night Session, separated from the current Day Session by a 8:00–9:00 PM maintenance pause.
Nasdaq Texas
Nasdaq’s Global Trading Hours FAQ says Nasdaq Texas will continue on its current 7:00 AM–7:00 PM ET schedule rather than adopting the new Night Session.
Nasdaq PSX
Nasdaq’s FAQ says PSX will continue on its current 8:00 AM–5:00 PM ET schedule and will not use the Nasdaq Stock Market Night Session.
Is Nasdaq going to trade 24 hours?
Nasdaq has received SEC approval for rules that support a 23-hour trading day, five days a week. The approved Global Trading Hours model adds a Night Session from 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM ET, while the existing 4:00 AM–8:00 PM Day Session remains in place.
The model includes a one-hour industry maintenance pause from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM ET. Nasdaq says the week would begin Sunday at 9:00 PM and continue through Friday at 8:00 PM.
Is Nasdaq overnight trading live now?
CalendarHours does not treat the 9:00 PM–4:00 AM Night Session as live yet. Nasdaq’s current FAQ says Global Trading Hours availability depends on Securities Information Processor readiness and any applicable SEC rule changes or implementation conditions.
Until Nasdaq confirms the Night Session is available, this page’s live engine uses the current Nasdaq Stock Market schedule: Pre-Market 4:00–9:30 AM, Regular 9:30 AM–4:00 PM and Post-Market 4:00–8:00 PM ET.
Is Nasdaq open Saturday or Sunday?
No. The current Nasdaq Stock Market Day Session is closed on Saturday and Sunday. On a normal week, the next eligible business-day session begins with Pre-Market Hours at 4:00 AM ET. Under the future Global Trading Hours model, the planned Night Session would begin Sunday at 9:00 PM ET when Nasdaq makes it available.
Nasdaq vs NYSE trading hours
Nasdaq and the NYSE both use a 9:30 AM–4:00 PM ET regular/core U.S. cash-equity session. Nasdaq, however, explicitly defines a 4:00–9:30 AM Pre-Market and 4:00–8:00 PM Post-Market on the Nasdaq Stock Market, while the NYSE main market and other NYSE Group venues use different pre-opening, early and late-session structures.

CalendarHours treats Nasdaq’s official equity rules, holiday schedule and Global Trading Hours materials as the source of truth. The live engine is anchored to America/New_York, applies weekends, Nasdaq’s 2026 full-day closures and scheduled early closes, and distinguishes the current live 4:00 AM–8:00 PM Day Session from the approved but not yet displayed-as-live Night Session.
Editorial verification for this version was completed on July 24, 2026. Nasdaq Equity 1, the official 2026 U.S. Holiday & Trading Hours schedule, Nasdaq Global Trading Hours FAQ and the SEC’s April 10, 2026 approval order were checked before publication.
