Do New Hampshire Borders Change the Clock?

Is New Hampshire Ending Daylight Saving Time?

No change is in force as of August 20, 2026. Current RSA 21:36 defines Eastern Standard Time as New Hampshire's base standard and advances the state's clock one hour from the second Sunday in March until the first Sunday in November.

House Bill 1149 proposed removing the seasonal advance after Massachusetts, Vermont, Rhode Island and Maine enacted substantially similar permanent Eastern Standard Time laws. The New Hampshire House designated HB 1149 Inexpedient to Legislate on March 11, 2026. The proposal therefore did not change New Hampshire's current EST/EDT schedule.
