Is Oslo Børs Open Today?

On a normal day, standard Oslo equities use 7:15–9:00 AM pre-opening, an opening uncross at about 9:00 AM, continuous trading to 4:20 PM, a 4:20–4:25 PM closing auction, then Trading At Last to 4:30 PM.

What time does Oslo open?

Pre-open begins 7:15 AM; standard equity opening uncross occurs around 9:00 AM.

What time does Oslo close?

Continuous ends 4:20 PM; closing auction and Trading At Last continue to 4:30 PM.

Tomorrow Ends

Why this is more precise than “09:00–16:30.” The detailed Oslo trading pattern separates continuous trading to 16:20 from the 16:20–16:25 closing auction and 16:25–16:30 Trading At Last. A competitor page currently ranking for this intent still labels 09:00–16:30 as the official trading window and shows a 2025 holiday calendar.

Unique 2026 Half Trading Day

Oslo Børs hours on April 1, 2026

Euronext explicitly designates Wednesday, April 1, 2026 as an Oslo Børs half trading day.

The official one-page schedule gives equities and subscription rights: 06:30–07:30 closed → 07:30–09:00 pre-open → 09:00 uncross → 09:00–13:00 continuous → 13:00–13:05 closing call → 13:05 uncross → 13:05–13:10 Trading At Last → closed.

This is not a generic “early close at 13:00” page. The live engine models the 13:00–13:10 closing lifecycle so it does not declare the equity session completely finished at 1:00 PM.

Half-Day Product Differences

ETFs and bonds do not copy the equity half-day close

On April 1, the official schedule gives ETFs a 07:30–09:05 pre-open and 09:05–13:00 continuous session, then closed.

Continuously matched bonds use 09:00–12:00; auction-only bonds also finish their price-setting process at noon. Oslo derivatives use their own half-day schedule to 13:00.

This product-level distinction prevents an Oslo equity answer from being incorrectly copied to every security traded on the venue.

OBX Search Intent

Are OBX trading hours the same as Oslo Stock Exchange hours?

OBX is an index, not a separate stock exchange. Its constituent shares trade on Euronext Oslo Børs and use the cash-equity lifecycle on this page.

For a search about when OBX constituent stocks are open, the relevant answer is therefore Oslo's ~09:00–16:20 continuous equity market plus closing auction and TAL to 16:30.

Cash vs OBX Futures

Why do OBX futures open at 9:01 AM?

Oslo derivatives use their own Optiq clock. Current Euronext derivative documentation lists the OBX index futures call phase from about 7:30–9:01 AM and the Central Order Book from 9:01 AM–4:20 PM.

On the Oslo half day, the same derivatives family closes its on-book continuous session at 1:00 PM.

Those derivative hours are intentionally separated from the main cash-equity status badge.

Euronext Oslo Børs includes equities, ETFs, warrants, bonds and derivatives. One headline clock does not correctly describe all of them.

Year-End Accuracy

Is Oslo Børs open on Dec. 24 or Dec. 31, 2026?

No. The official Euronext 2026 table marks Oslo Closed on both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

This is a real difference from Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon and Paris, where those dates are designated half trading days.

CalendarHours therefore does not borrow a continental Euronext 14:05 half-day close for Oslo.

Norwegian Holiday Precision

Why Oslo has more Easter-related closures than Paris

Oslo's local calendar preserves Norwegian market conventions inside the Euronext network. In 2026 it has a half day on Apr. 1, then closes on Maundy Thursday Apr. 2, Good Friday Apr. 3 and Easter Monday Apr. 6.

The Oslo column also closes for Ascension Day and Whit Monday, while several other Euronext cash venues remain open on those dates.

CET vs CEST

Does Oslo Børs change clocks?

Yes. Oslo uses CET (UTC+1) in winter and CEST (UTC+2) in summer.

CalendarHours uses `Europe/Oslo`, so the 7:15 pre-open, 9:00 opening, 16:20 continuous close and 16:30 TAL endpoint convert correctly through Norway's daylight-saving changes.

No Lunch Break

Does Oslo Børs close for lunch?

No. Standard continuously traded Oslo equities do not have a scheduled midday lunch break.

After the opening uncross, the normal continuous session runs until 4:20 PM, subject to instrument-specific interruptions or suspensions.

Oslo Stock Exchange Hours FAQ

Is the Oslo Stock Exchange open today?

For standard Euronext Oslo Børs equities, the regular 2026 cash-equity schedule uses pre-opening from 7:15 AM Oslo time, an opening uncross at about 9:00 AM, continuous trading from about 9:00 AM to 4:20 PM, a closing auction from 4:20 PM to 4:25 PM, and Trading At Last from about 4:25 PM to 4:30 PM. CalendarHours also checks weekends, full Oslo market holidays and the special April 1, 2026 half trading day.

What time does Oslo Børs open?

The regular equity pre-open begins at 7:15 AM Oslo time. The opening uncross occurs at about 9:00 AM, after which continuous trading begins. The official Oslo schedule describes the uncross as randomized, so the exact transition can occur around the scheduled time rather than at a guaranteed second.

What time does Oslo Børs close?

Continuous equity trading ends at 4:20 PM Oslo time. A closing auction then runs from 4:20 PM to about 4:25 PM, followed by Trading At Last until 4:30 PM. Reporting of after-exchange trades can continue later, but that is not the regular on-book equity session.

Why do some websites say Oslo Stock Exchange trades until 4:30 PM?

That is a simplified endpoint. The detailed Oslo schedule shows continuous trading ending at 4:20 PM, a closing auction from 4:20 PM to 4:25 PM, and Trading At Last from about 4:25 PM to 4:30 PM. Calling the whole 9:00 AM–4:30 PM window continuous trading hides the final auction and TAL phases.

What are Oslo Stock Exchange pre-market hours?

For regular equity trading, pre-opening runs from 7:15 AM to about 9:00 AM Oslo time. Orders can be entered, modified or cancelled during the call phase before the opening uncross. On the special April 1, 2026 half trading day, the official schedule starts the equity pre-open at 7:30 AM instead.

What time is the Oslo Børs closing auction?

For standard Oslo equities, the regular closing auction runs from 4:20 PM to about 4:25 PM. The official schedule then moves into Trading At Last from about 4:25 PM to 4:30 PM.

What is Trading At Last on Oslo Børs?

Trading At Last is the post-closing-auction phase for the main Oslo equity schedule. The official Oslo trading pattern lists it from about 4:25 PM to 4:30 PM on normal days and from about 1:05 PM to 1:10 PM on the April 1, 2026 half trading day.

What happens on April 1, 2026 at Oslo Børs?

Wednesday April 1, 2026 is an official Oslo Børs half trading day. For equities and subscription rights, the published schedule is: closed 6:30–7:30 AM, pre-open 7:30–9:00 AM, opening uncross around 9:00 AM, continuous trading 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, closing auction 1:00–1:05 PM, Trading At Last about 1:05–1:10 PM, then closed.

What are Oslo Børs ETF hours?

The Oslo trading pattern gives ETFs a later opening than standard equities. On a normal schedule, ETF pre-opening runs from 7:15 AM to about 9:05 AM, followed by continuous trading from about 9:05 AM to 4:20 PM. On the April 1, 2026 half day, ETF continuous trading runs from about 9:05 AM to 1:00 PM.

Do Oslo warrants use the same hours as equities?

Not exactly. Oslo warrants use a similar 7:15 AM pre-open and about 9:00 AM opening, but the published Oslo trading pattern ends warrant continuous trading at 4:20 PM without the equity closing-auction and Trading At Last sequence.

What are Oslo Børs bond trading hours?

Oslo fixed-income hours depend on the trading method. The official trading pattern shows continuously matched bonds trading roughly 9:00 AM–4:00 PM on normal days and to noon on half days. Auction-only and bulletin-book bonds use separate call or auction structures.

What are Oslo Stock Exchange holidays in 2026?

For Oslo, the 2026 Euronext calendar includes full closures on January 1, April 2, April 3, April 6, May 1, May 14, May 25, December 24, December 25 and December 31. April 1 is a half trading day. Norway's Constitution Day is Sunday May 17 in 2026, so it falls on an already-closed weekend.

Is Oslo Børs open on April 2, 2026?

No. Maundy Thursday, April 2, 2026, is a full Oslo market closure. The preceding Wednesday, April 1, is the special Oslo half trading day.

Is Oslo Børs open on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve 2026?

No. Unlike several Euronext continental cash markets that use year-end half days, Oslo is fully closed on both December 24 and December 31, 2026.

Are OBX trading hours the same as Oslo Stock Exchange hours?

OBX is an index, not a separate cash stock exchange. OBX constituent shares trade on Euronext Oslo Børs under the cash-equity schedule. OBX index futures are derivatives with their own clock: current Euronext derivative documentation lists a pre-open from about 7:30 AM to 9:01 AM and Central Order Book trading from 9:01 AM to 4:20 PM.

Does Oslo Børs close for lunch?

No. Standard Oslo cash equities do not have a scheduled midday lunch break. Continuous trading runs after the opening uncross until 4:20 PM on a normal day.

What time zone does Oslo Børs use?

Oslo Børs follows Norway local time through Europe/Oslo, switching between CET and CEST. CalendarHours uses the IANA time zone so seasonal conversions stay correct.

Accuracy & Methodology

How CalendarHours verifies Oslo Stock Exchange hours

CalendarHours prioritizes Euronext's Oslo Optiq trading pattern, current Oslo market pages, current 2026 Oslo listing materials, the official Euronext holiday calendar and the dedicated April 1, 2026 half-day schedule. The live clock is anchored to `Europe/Oslo`.

The Oslo Optiq pattern gives equities 07:15–09:00 pre-open, 09:00–16:20 continuous trading, 16:20–16:25 closing call and 16:25–16:30 Trading At Last. A current June 2026 Oslo listing prospectus independently describes regular equity trading at 09:00–16:20, pre-trade from 07:15, closing auction 16:20–16:25 and post-trade through 16:30.

The dedicated Euronext PDF for Wednesday, April 1, 2026 was checked directly. It confirms the equity half-day sequence: pre-open 07:30–09:00, continuous 09:00–13:00, call 13:00–13:05, uncross at 13:05 and Trading At Last 13:05–13:10. The same document gives ETF continuous trading 09:05–13:00 and continuously matched bond trading 09:00–12:00.

Product-specific schedules are separated deliberately. ETFs open later than standard equities, warrants do not inherit the equity TAL sequence, bonds use earlier endpoints, and current Euronext derivative documentation gives OBX index futures a 09:01–16:20 Central Order Book.

For holidays, the Oslo column of the official Euronext 2026 calendar controls. This prevents generic Euronext assumptions from overriding Oslo-specific closures such as Maundy Thursday, Ascension Day, Whit Monday, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

Live page date: . Newer Euronext notices, actual Optiq market states, trading suspensions and instrument-specific rules control over rounded webpage times.
