Status represents the main Euronext Milan equity session, then identifies eligible TAH separately after 6:00 PM.
Calculating…Borsa Italiana Hours Today
Check whether Borsa Italiana / Euronext Milan is in the opening auction, continuous cash-equity trading, the closing auction, Trading-at-Last, eligible Trading After Hours or closed right now—plus ETFplus, Euronext Growth Milan, FTSE MIB cash-vs-futures differences, Rome time and the official 2026 market calendar.
Is Borsa Italiana Open Today?
For Euronext Milan / Euronext STAR Milan equities, Borsa Italiana publishes an opening auction from 7:30 AM to the random 9:00:00–9:00:30 AM opening, continuous trading to 5:30 PM, a closing auction with random uncross at 5:35:00–5:35:30 PM, then Trading-at-Last to 5:40 PM. Eligible securities can trade again on the separate Trading After Hours MTF from 6:00–8:30 PM when TAH is scheduled.
Opening auction starts 7:30 AM; standard equities uncross randomly around 9:00 AM.
Continuous ends 5:30 PM; closing auction/TAL ends 5:40 PM; eligible TAH can run 6:00–8:30 PM.

TAH is not available on every otherwise-open Borsa Italiana day.
Borsa Italiana hours in your local time
Borsa Italiana operates on Europe/Rome, the same civil clock used in Milan. CalendarHours handles the CET/CEST switch automatically.
The opening and closing uncrosses include randomized windows. TAH is shown only as a separate eligible-instrument session, never as a continuation of the main Euronext Milan continuous book.

Current Borsa Italiana / Euronext Milan Trading Hours

Are FTSE MIB hours the same as Borsa Italiana stock hours?
FTSE MIB is an index, not a separate cash exchange. Its constituent shares trade on Euronext Milan and therefore use the normal equity lifecycle on this page.
Searches for “FTSE MIB trading hours” often mix the stock market with FTSE MIB index futures. That is a different product and a different clock.
Why can FTSE MIB trade until 10:00 PM?
That longer schedule belongs to the FIB futures contract, not ordinary Euronext Milan cash equities.
Euronext’s derivatives trading-hours sheet effective February 2, 2026 gives FTSE MIB Index futures a 7:30–8:00 call phase and 8:00–22:00 Central Order Book on normal trading days. Mini and Micro FTSE MIB futures use the same headline normal-day clock.
The primary Borsa Italiana live badge remains tied to the cash-equity market, while this derivatives distinction prevents a 22:00 futures quote from being misread as a 22:00 stock-exchange close.
Do Borsa Italiana ETFs open at 9:00 AM?
Not quite. Borsa Italiana’s ETFplus FAQ currently publishes an opening auction from 7:30 AM to 9:04 AM plus a random interval of up to 30 seconds.
Continuous ETFplus trading then runs from approximately 9:04 AM to 5:30 PM, followed by the 5:30–5:35 closing auction and Trading-at-Last to 5:40 PM.
This four-minute difference is small, but it matters for a live market-status page: a Milan stock can already be continuously trading while an ETFplus instrument is still in its opening auction.
Do certificates and warrants use stock-market hours?
Not necessarily. Borsa Italiana’s SeDeX market supports instrument-specific extended hours. Since the Optiq migration, instruments can use morning openings at 8:00 or 9:05 and evening endpoints at 17:30, 20:30 or 22:00, depending on trading group.
Those structured-product clocks should not replace the standard Euronext Milan equity answer.
Borsa Italiana Holidays 2026
Milan’s 2026 calendar is unusual inside Euronext: Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are full closures, not half trading days. The main market and TAH also have separate calendars.
2026 Borsa Italiana Closures & TAH-Only Blackout Days
“No TAH” means the regular cash-equity market can still trade normally; only the separate 18:00–20:30 Trading After Hours session is unavailable.

Is Borsa Italiana open on Dec. 24 or Dec. 31, 2026?
No. Borsa Italiana is fully closed on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve in 2026.
This is a real venue-specific difference: Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon and Paris use Euronext half trading days on those dates, but the Milan column is marked Closed.
CalendarHours therefore does not inherit the 14:05 Euronext half-day convention from the other cash venues into Milan.
Is Borsa Italiana closed on Republic Day or Epiphany?
The main market is open. Neither January 6 nor June 2 appears in Borsa Italiana’s 2026 full-market closure list.
The evening session is different: TAH does not operate Jan. 6 or June 2. December 8 follows the same pattern—main market open, no TAH.
Is Borsa Italiana open after 5:40 PM?
The main Euronext Milan equity session is finished at 5:40 PM. But Borsa Italiana operates a separate Trading After Hours segment of BIt Eq MTF from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
That session covers eligible admitted instruments; it is not universal after-hours access for every listed security. Live Borsa Italiana TAH pages in July 2026 show actual trades continuing to approximately 20:29.
Why can Milan stocks trade normally but have no evening session?
Borsa Italiana publishes a second calendar just for Trading After Hours. In 2026, the main cash market is still open on dates such as Jan. 6, June 2 and Dec. 8, but TAH is not.
TAH is also suspended for all business days from Aug. 3 through Aug. 28 and on several December sessions. The live engine models that distinction instead of marking the entire exchange closed.
Does Borsa Italiana change clocks?
Yes. Milan follows CET (UTC+1) in winter and CEST (UTC+2) in summer.
CalendarHours uses `Europe/Rome`, so every opening-auction, continuous, closing, TAL and TAH endpoint converts correctly across Europe’s daylight-saving changes.
Does Borsa Italiana close for lunch?
No. Standard Euronext Milan equities do not have a scheduled midday lunch break.
Continuous trading runs after the opening auction until 5:30 PM, although individual instruments can enter volatility auctions.

Borsa Italiana Hours FAQ
Is Borsa Italiana open today?
On a normal Euronext Milan cash-equity trading day, the opening auction runs from 7:30 AM to a random opening between 9:00:00 and 9:00:30 AM, continuous trading then runs to 5:30 PM, the closing auction uncross occurs randomly between 5:35:00 and 5:35:30 PM, and Trading-at-Last continues to 5:40 PM Rome time. A separate Trading After Hours MTF can run from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM for eligible instruments on dates when TAH is scheduled.
What time does Borsa Italiana open?
Borsa Italiana's Euronext Milan opening auction starts at 7:30 AM Rome time. Standard equities open through a random uncross between 9:00:00 and 9:00:30 AM, after which continuous trading begins.
What time does Borsa Italiana close?
Continuous Euronext Milan equity trading ends at 5:30 PM. The closing auction runs to a random uncross between 5:35:00 and 5:35:30 PM, followed by Trading-at-Last until 5:40 PM. Eligible securities can also trade separately on Trading After Hours from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM on TAH operating days.
What are Borsa Italiana pre-market hours?
For Euronext Milan equities, the opening auction begins at 7:30 AM and runs to the random opening uncross at about 9:00 AM. This call phase is not the same as continuous trading.
What are Borsa Italiana Trading After Hours?
Trading After Hours is a separate segment of BIt Eq MTF, not an extension of the Euronext Milan continuous order book. Eligible shares and other admitted securities can trade continuously from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM on TAH operating days.
Does Trading After Hours operate every Borsa Italiana trading day?
No. Borsa Italiana publishes additional 2026 dates on which the main cash market can be open but Trading After Hours does not operate, including January 2, 5 and 6; April 2; June 1 and 2; all business days from August 3 through August 28; December 7 and 8; December 21 through 23; and December 28 through 30.
What time is the Borsa Italiana closing auction?
The Euronext Milan closing auction starts when continuous trading ends at 5:30 PM and concludes with a random price determination between 5:35:00 and 5:35:30 PM. Trading-at-Last then runs to 5:40 PM.
What is Trading-at-Last on Borsa Italiana?
Trading-at-Last is the post-closing-auction phase in which eligible orders execute at the established closing-auction price. Euronext Milan and Euronext STAR Milan use it from the closing uncross around 5:35 PM until 5:40 PM.
What are Borsa Italiana ETF hours?
ETFplus uses an opening auction from 7:30 AM to a random uncross at about 9:04 AM, continuous trading from approximately 9:04 AM to 5:30 PM, a closing auction around 5:35 PM and Trading-at-Last until 5:40 PM.
What are Borsa Italiana holidays in 2026?

Is Borsa Italiana open on Republic Day 2026?
Yes for the main cash market. June 2, 2026 is not a full Borsa Italiana market closure, but Borsa Italiana lists June 1 and June 2 as dates when Trading After Hours does not operate.
Is Borsa Italiana open on Epiphany 2026?
Yes for the main cash market. January 6 is not a full Borsa Italiana market closure, but the Trading After Hours session is not scheduled on January 6, 2026.
Is Borsa Italiana open on December 24 and December 31, 2026?
No. Unlike Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon and Paris, Milan is fully closed on both December 24 and December 31, 2026. These are not half trading days for Borsa Italiana.
Are FTSE MIB hours the same as Borsa Italiana stock hours?
FTSE MIB is an index, not a separate cash stock exchange. Its constituent shares trade on Euronext Milan under the cash-equity schedule. FTSE MIB index futures are separate derivatives; the current 2026 Euronext derivatives schedule gives the FIB contract a normal Central Order Book session from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Does Borsa Italiana close for lunch?
No. Standard Euronext Milan cash equities do not have a scheduled midday lunch break. Continuous trading runs from after the opening auction until 5:30 PM, subject to volatility interruptions.
What time zone does Borsa Italiana use?
Borsa Italiana uses Milan/Rome local time through Europe/Rome, switching between CET and CEST. CalendarHours uses the IANA time zone so seasonal conversion is automatic.
How CalendarHours verifies Borsa Italiana hours
CalendarHours prioritizes Borsa Italiana’s current Euronext Milan equity-hours page, ETFplus documentation, Trading After Hours definition, official 2026 trading calendar and current Euronext derivatives schedule. The live clock uses `Europe/Rome`.
Editorial verification for this version was completed on July 24, 2026. The current Borsa Italiana equity page explicitly confirms the Euronext Milan / Euronext STAR Milan sequence: 07:30–09:00 opening auction with random 09:00:00–09:00:30 price determination, continuous trading to 17:30, closing auction to random 17:35:00–17:35:30 and Trading-at-Last to 17:40.
Borsa Italiana’s ETFplus FAQ was checked separately because ETF timing differs: ETFplus opens through a random uncross at approximately 09:04, then trades continuously to 17:30, closes through the 17:35 auction and uses TAL to 17:40.
Trading After Hours is modeled as a separate BIt Eq MTF segment, not as part of the normal Euronext Milan session. Borsa Italiana defines TAH as continuous trading from 18:00 to 20:30 for eligible admitted instruments. Live 2026 Borsa Italiana TAH quote pages show trades near 20:29, supporting the current endpoint.
The 2026 Borsa calendar was reviewed twice: once for full exchange closures and again for TAH-only blackout days. This prevents dates such as Jan. 6, June 2 and Dec. 8 from being incorrectly marked as full stock-market closures.
FTSE MIB futures are intentionally excluded from the cash-equity live badge. Euronext’s derivatives sheet effective February 2, 2026 gives FIB, Mini and Micro FTSE MIB futures an 08:00–22:00 normal Central Order Book session, which is a derivatives clock rather than a Borsa Italiana stock-market close.
